Volunteering for Brendoncare as a Digital Champion
Would you be interested in helping older adults learn to use digital devices and navigate the internet?
This could be through one-to-one or small group sessions at a Brendoncare location.
What we require from a Brendoncare Digital Champion volunteer
- Confidence using everyday technology (e.g. email, WhatsApp, internet)
- Ability to explain steps clearly and patiently
- Access to a device (laptop or tablet)
- Availability Monday–Friday, 9am–4:30pm (times agreed in advanced)
- Willingness to complete training, provide two references, and undergo an enhanced DBS check
- To Report any safeguarding concerns immediately with your manager or the office.
I've volunteered with Brendoncare for about 15 years now and have found it very rewarding, the members and volunteers make it a pleasure to carry out our duties.
