Facilities in Brendoncare Alton

There are 80 single en-suite nursing and dementia bedrooms at Brendoncare Alton.

All our bedrooms, decorated to a high standard, feature a 24-hour nurse call system. Wheelchair-accessible showers and assisted bathrooms are conveniently located nearby.

Our nursing home consists of five self-contained households, ensuring every resident feels safe and at home in a home-like atmosphere within the small family units. Each household features spacious, welcoming sitting and dining rooms, as well as a small kitchen.

Residents are welcome to personalise their rooms with their own furniture and belongings that bring familiarity and comfort to their home.

Our care home provides dementia nursing, dementia residential, respite, and end-of-life care.

Residents receive personalised care services tailored to their individual needs, delivered by our experienced nurses and carers who are available 24 hours a day.

Nursing care provides support to individuals with complex needs, including physical illnesses or medical conditions, who require regular nursing care.

Our trained staff provide dedicated dementia care in a safe environment.

Respite care provides short-term support to individuals recovering from illness, hospital stays, or when carers need a break, and bookings can be made up to 3 months in advance.

End-of-life care supports those in the last months or years of their lives, enabling them to continue living with dignity.

Our care home was recently refurbished to a high standard, creating a warm and welcoming environment where residents and their guests can meet and relax.

The atrium is one of our home’s key features, which, together with a range of lounge and dining areas, offers an airy communal meeting place. Outside, extensive landscaped gardens are full of sunny and shady spots for outdoor dining and soaking up the sun.

A hairdressing salon, shop and library with large print and audio books are also available to residents.

Food and drink are an essential part of residents’ daily lives. Our catering team works closely with residents and staff to accommodate specific likes and dislikes, dietary and allergy requirements, as well as cultural/spiritual needs.

Our varied menus always include healthy, wholesome, appetising food, with snacks and drinks available anytime. We have the top food hygiene rating of 5 from the Food Standards Agency.

Residents can entertain their guests in either the restaurant or the coffee shop.

Our wellbeing coordinators focus solely on supporting the quality of life for each resident. They organise a varied range of activities from fitness and craft sessions to quizzes, board games and manicures.

They also arrange activities on special occasions, including birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s Day, Easter, and Christmas.

Meet the Manager
Nicola Humphries

I joined as Brendoncare Alton’s General Manager in September 2025.

I bring with me 40 years of experience of social care, starting in children’s services but after 10 years, I moved across to adult services including dementia and nursing.

For the past 18 years, I was employed in a series of interim social care management roles, working for larger companies and single care home owners.

I am now really excited to be working for Brendoncare Alton where I already feel very much at home.
