Stildon Care Home Celebrates 102nd Birthday
One of our greatest joys is celebrating our residents’ birthdays.
Here at Brendoncare Stildon, we had the pleasure of wishing a very happy 102nd birthday to our amazing Sylvia.
Born and raised in London, Sylvia has lived a life filled with purpose, love, and adventure. She went to school in the city and later trained as an accountant.
It was through work that she met her husband, Roy. Though Sylvia is now widowed, she treasures the memories of the life they built together.
After marrying, Sylvia and Roy continued their life in London, raising their son and enjoying many happy years as a family. Later, they moved to Gibraltar, where they lived for several years.
In February 2024, Sylvia joined the Stildon community, where she quickly settled in, enjoying keeping her mind sharp with crosswords, quizzes, and puzzles.
Sylvia’s 100th birthday in 2024 was a joyful milestone, celebrated with a family party at Stildon. Two years later, we are delighted to celebrate her incredible 102nd birthday.
When asked about the secret to a long and happy life, Sylvia said:
"Living well and sensibly... and with a glass of rosé."
