There are 13 single bedrooms, all with a private bathroom for each resident.

Our spacious, fully furnished bedrooms feature a TV point, private telephone line, and a 24-hour call system. Additionally, wheelchair-accessible showers and assisted bathrooms are conveniently located nearby.

Residents are welcome to personalise their rooms with their own furniture and belongings, bringing a sense of familiarity and comfort to their home.

Brendoncare Meadway offers residential, respite, and end-of-life care.

Our residential care takes away the stresses and strains of running your own home. Support is always available to assist with everyday tasks. Residents are free to enjoy their day by participating in activities or spending time quietly in their rooms, the gardens, and communal areas.

Respite care provides short-term support to individuals recovering from an illness, hospital stay, or when their caregivers take a break.

End-of-life care supports those in the last months or years of their lives, enabling them to continue living with dignity.

With a family-like atmosphere, our care home is a welcoming place for both residents and visitors. It features light, spacious communal areas, including a dining room with a view of the garden.

Our well-stocked, mature garden is filled with fragrant flowers and a variety of herbs. There are patios with elegant garden furniture where residents and their guests can soak up the sun or seek shade in our summerhouse while enjoying the glories of the garden.

Food and drink play an essential role in our daily lives. Our catering team works closely with residents and staff to accommodate specific likes and dislikes, dietary and allergy requirements, as well as cultural/spiritual needs. A resident recently quoted in a recent CQC report: “Of vital importance, the food is homely and is really excellent.”

Our varied menus always include healthy, wholesome, appetising food, with snacks and drinks available anytime. We are proud to maintain a 5-star food hygiene rating from the Food Standards Agency.

Supporting the quality of life for each of our residents is crucial to ensuring their wellbeing. Regular activities we organise include quiz nights, creative talks, and movie afternoons, as well as visits from entertainers and weekly volunteer visits from Winchester College pupils who play games, read, and hold discussions with residents.

We also arrange celebrations on special occasions, including birthdays, Mother’s Day, Easter, and Christmas.

Meet the Manager
Danielle Parnell

I am pleased to be General Manager for Knightwood and Meadway. I have worked within the health and social care sector for around 13 years in various roles and organisations across Hampshire.

One thing that stood out to me about Brendoncare was the values of the charity that I felt resonated with me. I enjoy spending my time with residents and colleagues across both sites, and feel proud to work for a charity that truly values person-centred care.
