Our 64 en-suite bedrooms are arranged into smaller households with 16 bedrooms across four households, offering a family-like environment.

All bedrooms feature a 24-hour nurse call system and en-suite shower rooms, which are fully accessible for wheelchair users. There are also assisted bathrooms close to all the bedrooms.

Our rooms are decorated to a very high standard, but residents are welcome to bring their own furniture and belongings to personalise their rooms, making them feel familiar and homely.

We provide nursing, dementia, respite, and end-of-life care.

Residents receive personalised care services tailored to their individual needs, delivered by our experienced nurses and carers who are available 24 hours a day.

Nursing care provides support to individuals with complex needs, such as physical illnesses or medical conditions, who require regular nursing care.

Our trained staff provide dedicated dementia care in a safe environment.

Respite care provides short-term support to individuals recovering from an illness, hospital stay, or when caregivers take a break, and it can be booked up to three months in advance.

End-of-life care supports those in the last months or years of their lives, enabling them to continue living with dignity.

Our modern, airy, and spacious care home supports individuals with a range of needs, including those living with dementia. Our building incorporates dementia-friendly features, such as lighting, colour contrast, orientation, and security measures, to help residents feel secure and navigate their surroundings safely both indoors and outdoors.

We offer an extensive range of comfortable lounge areas and elegant dining spaces, a winter garden, a thriving community space for activities and gatherings, a hair salon, a library featuring a wide selection of books, a café, and a shop.

Patios overlooking our extensive, well-stocked gardens provide ideal places to entertain guests or relax and soak up the sunshine.

Food and drink are an integral part of our residents’ daily lives. Our chef managers and catering teams work closely with residents, staff and professionals to accommodate any specific likes and dislikes, dietary and allergy requirements, or cultural/spiritual needs.

Our varied menus always include healthy, wholesome, appetising food, with snacks and drinks available anytime.

Our wellbeing coordinators focus solely on supporting the quality of life for each resident. They organise a varied range of activities, including quizzes, manicures, music and movement, glass-making, painting, and gardening, as well as regular outings to the beach or local garden centre.

They also organise activities to celebrate special occasions, including birthdays, Mother’s Day, Easter, and Christmas.

Meet the Manager
Charlotte Chiutare

Caring has always been part of my DNA, even before I started in a Nursing Home aged 16, supporting Residents with dementia, different Nursing needs and end-of-life care. I also worked in Domiciliary care over the course of a few years.

My Brendoncare career began at Park Road, later moving to Meadway, where I became a team leader and progressed to Deputy Manager. Brendoncare asked me to support Knightwood for a period of time before transferring there permanently in the role of Deputy Manager.

After a few years, I became Acting Manager, then General Manager. My role now also includes overseeing our extra care housing development, Old Parsonage Court.
