Mayor of Gosport and local social teams join us at Community Centre Open Morning
Brendoncare welcomed community representatives to an Open Morning at Gosport Community Centre at which they learned more about our clubs and services.
The Mayor of Gosport, Cllr Richard Earle headed the guests that included community representatives and social prescribers. Joining him were other community figures. They included Father Godfrey Chigumira from Holy Trinity Church, Gosport, Cllr June Cully, and representatives from the Women’s Institute, Live Well With COPD, and SSAFA.
Brendoncare’s Charitable Impact and Community Services team and volunteers spoke to them about our community work not just in Gosport but across South East Hampshire.
Martine Martin, Brendoncare’s Head of Membership, said: “It was my pleasure to have the opportunity to welcome the Mayor of Gosport to the Brendoncare Gosport Centre.
“It was lovely to show Cllr Earle the facility. This included items which have kindly been donated to us, such as the garden planters and the mat for our Short Mat Bowls Club. It was also an opportunity for him to meet some of our dedicated volunteers, without whom our clubs would simply not be able to run.”
